10 Supplications To Keep On Repeat This Ramadan

by Ameera Hammouda

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Three supplications will not be rejected (by Allah): the supplication of the parent for his child, the supplication of the one who is fasting, and the supplication of the traveler” [Bayhaqi & Tirmidhi].

Our dua during Ramadan is especially powerful as we are fasting and the gateways are wide open. Allah(swt) says in the Quran: “Call on me, I will respond to you” [40:60].

We recommend using our free Ramadan planner to organize your dua, and bookmark this page to have at your beckon call. The 10 dua below are some of our favorite to make in Ramadan and beyond due to their comprehensive nature:

Rabbana atina fi dunyati hasana wa fil ahkirati hasana wa kina athaba nar

Yet there are others who say, “Our Lord! Grant us the good of this world and the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.”

Aamanar-Rasoolu bimaa unzila ilayhi mir-Rabbihee walmu’minoon; kullun aamana billaahi wa Malaaa’ikatihee wa Kutubihee wa Rusulihee laa nufarriqu bayna ahadim-mir Rusulih; wa qaaloo sami’naa wa ata’naa ghufraanaka Rabbanaa wa ilaykal-maseer.

Laa yukalliful-laahu nafsan illaa wus’ahaa; lahaa maa kasabat wa ‘alayhaa maktasabat; Rabbanaa laa tu’aakhiznaaa in naseenaaa aw akhtaånaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tahmil-‘alaynaaa işran kamaa hamaltahoo ‘alal-lazeena min qablinaa; Rabbanaa wa laa tuhammilnaa maa laa taaqata lanaa bihee wa’fu ‘annaa waghfir lanaa warhamnaa; Anta mawlaanaa fanşurnaa ‘alal qawmil-kaafireen.

The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.”

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. “Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.”

Indeed, adversity has touched me and you are the most Merciful

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'Ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa amalan mutaqabbalan

Oh Allah! I ask you for knowledge that is of benefit, good provision and deeds that will be accepted

Rabbana Afrigh A'layna Sabran watawaffana Muslimeen

Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to you]

Rabbi inee lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer

My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good you would send down to me, in need

Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba'da ith hathtaytana wahab lana minladunka rahmah innaka ant alwahhab

Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after you have guided us and granted us from yourself mercy. Indeed, you are the bestower.

Hasbuna Allahu Wani'ma Alwakeel

Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs

Allahumma Ighfir li Thambi wa- Wawasee' li fee dari wa Barik li fee rizqi

Ya Allah forgive my sins , expand my home and bless my provisions

Allahumma Ja'alni mubarakan aaina maa kuntu

Oh Allah swt, please make me blessed wherever I am [to have a positive impact]
