Carrying Serenity Beyond Ramadan and Eid through Pantone’s Color of the Year
by Laila Musleh
In a moment where fashion leans louder, Eid offers a return to stillness. It's a celebration defined by intention, and where its meaning is found in the small details like the silhouettes, fabrics and clothing that carry stories. This season, this quietness is reflected in pieces that are personal, focused on craftsmanship and cultural references.
Last December, Pantone named Cloud Dancer (PANTONE 11-4201) as the 2026 Color of the Year, a serene, whisper-light white, a poetic alignment with the serene spirit of Eid. After a month of reflection, restraint and renewal, Eid acts as a gentle exhale of clarity and joy, and Cloud Dancer mirrors this emotional landscape.
The color white has always held meaning in Islamic tradition, symbolizing purity, humility and clarity, values felt deeply at the end of Ramadan. Rather than a mere aesthetic choice, wearing white on Eid is a continuation of the spiritual state the month leaves behind.
This year’s Eid wardrobe leans into that softness. Think flowing silhouettes, sheer overlays, featherlight chiffons and delicate embroideries.

At the center of this is the Anu Puff Sleeve Maxi Dress in the Heirloom Toile. This dress holds a particular intimacy with Ramadan and Eid. The toile de jouy print, created in collaboration with Muslim-American artist Emmen Jaan, is a narrative woven with motifs of dates, lanterns, prayer beads, sprigs of mint and watermelon. As these elements sit quietly within the fabric, they are subtle testaments to gathering, ritual and memory, which lie at the heart of the holy month and Eid.
While the flowing maxi silhouette creates movement, the smocked sleeves bring structure, grounding the look without interrupting its breathability. In a way, a tribute to the discipline of Ramadan.

Its ivory-blue palette embodies Cloud Dancer, not in the literal translation of white, but in its light presence. The A-line silhouette evokes stillness, weightlessness and intentional restraint.
Beyond the color, the ethos of Cloud Dancer is found within the dress. Pantone frames the shade as a response to a noisy world, a mere return to clarity, simplicity and quiet reflection. That same sentiment is reflected in the dress’ toile, inviting both the wearer and spectator to meditate and find meaning in ritual and heritage, firmly rooted in the present moment.
As time moves forward, Cloud Dancer lingers not just as a color, but as a mindset to carry beyond Ramadan and Eid. The stillness and discipline gifted by Ramadan are meant to be preserved in all of the ways we move, gather and even dress. Ramadan’s teachings offer guidance long after the month ends, and in choosing pieces that reflect softness and restraint, we hold onto the month’s serenity a little longer.
The Heirloom Toile collection is the perfect addition to your post-Ramadan wardrobe.
